excellent composition. i love the stark, hardedged contrast between the surface of the ice and the open water. it does rather vividly capture the border between life and death, though the trail of reflected light leading up the center of the image in the water offers hope. poor goose. =\

this is ever-so-slightly over-processed for my tastes - the truck seems to lift artificially out of its surroundings. if that could be toned down a bit i think this would be a great image.

In Reflection

i like this image, but i think it would be a lot better with a tighter crop, eliminating the top fourth/fifth of the image or so (at least to occlude the truck). the vanishing point in the street makes the shape of the puddles look like a tall building, and then you see the reflection of buildings moving in the opposite direction - a jarring and cool effect i think works better without seeing the street or the white truck parked in the alley.

wow, this is fantastic. i love the lighting, the composition. the contrast both in tones and in lines -- the strong vertical lines vs. the gently undulating ripples in the surface of the water. a nine from me.
