| I'd have expected a lot better out of this, score wise. I gave it an 8 myself. It's intricate and vaguely mystifying. It feels like dragonfly wings, but appears to be a skeletal leaf. I enjoyed studying it, repeatedly. |

| oh, i really am a fan of this. the very shallow DOF ironically gives this tiny world the feeling of a lot of depth. the busy bokeh fits very well. |

| Love the cool duo-tones for they are very dynamic in this composition. The photo really shows off the detail in this dragonfly's wings. I really can get a nice appreciation of the lactices and delicate nature of the wings. Only plaint is that I ALMOST wish more of the wing was in sharp focus - great DOF with higher aperature and slower shutter speed would accomplish that. I say almost because I don't know how much improving the DOF would destroy the 'soft' dreamy quality of the shot - which the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. |
