School Days' Bits & Bytesby AlexutaComment: Nice composition, but I find the shallow DOF distracting. IMO it would have been better to have had the centre in focus. |

The Village Schoolby RiponladyComment: In my opinion, rotating clockwise slightly and cropping the right side to the corner of the fence would have made a better composition. |

Windmill at Duskby NigelComment: Originally posted by Strontious: a center composition? WHY??? placed off to the left, following the rule of thirds would have made this a MUCH better photograph |
Why the centre composition?..... I tried it as an off center ROT crop, but somehow it just didn't work as a 640x640 crop. I wonder if it's because the focal point on the windmill is the centre of the 4 sails?
Any comments/ideas?
Several people commented that a full on front view would have worked better for the "square crop", but unfortunately the front view would have had a housing estate as the background. |

Shannonby NeuferlandComment: At first I thought this picture was out-of-focus, but then I noticed that it has been over compressed. Try increasing the quality setting when saving as a jpg. Your file is only 22,212 bytes, the maximum allowed is 153,600. When a file is over compressed a lot of the detail can be lost. |

How's Your Diet Going?by CoozComment: Nice idea, perhaps a coloured background would have given a better contrast against the Oreo? |
