A good creative angle on the challenge for this week. I like the bold repetition of the yellow booth sides and phone signs. This might even work in B&W. Two very minor negative points hardly worth mentioning are the glaring highlight reflections from the lights and the black pants blending in with the black wall border. Dramatic cropping into a panorama would be another alternative. A good overall photo.

A pleasant gentle image. The cottony leaves contrast well to the bold trunk and branches. Although the water highlights command much attention fromthe viewer they do suit the high key image. Waldo is not disguised in the foto which may dock you a few points from other voters. But not me. A long time exposure with a ghost waldo would be an interesting possibility, too. A good solid image.

Great tongue in cheek shot. Love the spooky dino silhouettes with threatening shadows. The egg is an unusual visual prop that reminds me of a spaceship. I admire your off the wall creativity and humour. Those are very rare qualities in a photographer that can sometimes be lost in the pressures of competition. Therefore I genuinely encourage you to explore your special vision which means more than any DPC score.

I am in total awe of your compositional choice. Many people may not agree with the shards of skewed building bits poking in here and lopped off there. But I really am envious of this marvellous dynamic expression of line and shape. The token figure is well disguised. Such a fabulous shot. The greys are balanced well in proportion to the vivacious blues plus that elegant complimentary kiss of yellow. A unique personal image that says much about your sense of color and graphic design. Very well done.

A bold silhouette image with beautiful subtle hues in the sky contrasting with a strong line study and blazing sign. The sun, the red sign and the figure all compete for my attention visually. Any one of those powerful elements in combination with just the sky would be a winning combo in my opinion. Such as the figure, three tiers of stairs and the sky. The scribble of treeline along the bottom is a perfect compositional base. A great idea that should earn you many other compliments. Good luck.

My fav foto this week hands down. Love the folds in the draped sheet. A small thing , but I personally would like the hands portion a tad more off centre. Another very minor quibble is the squarish texture embedded in the sheet. I find this attracts my attention and diverts it away from the power of the delecate figure. The concept is superior to most of the shots of this week. Technically a very good shot. Tons of expressive power in this image that speaks well of your creative talent.

Great shot. Technical excellence and a most creative concept. Nice diffuse lighting on the peas. And an attractive strong catchlight in the eye. A good graphic composition.

Tons of detail happening here. Nice gentle movement in the stream. Pattern and texture in the branches and roots. Great character in the wheel. Topped by the chill of snow and deep blue to tie the message altogether. Some folks may find the blue tone a bit heavyhanded. But I think that it does a very effective job here. For even more visual punch I would have zeroed in on just a couple of those really attractive elements. Say, a portion of the wheel with the stream and rocks, for example. I would like to have a little more stream in the photo in the foreground just so the hub of the wheel would not be smack dab on the horizontal centerline of the image area. Those are just minor suggestions. A very expressive image.

A powerful landscape image. Real heavy on the blue tones in the sky. But I think that adds to the vibrant strength of the heavens portrayed. The hint of detail in the foreground definitely adds to the photo compared to a black silhouette that would be too stark and boring in my opinion. The blades are a tad close to the center for the rule of thirds purists who would demand more sky and less earth. But this is real life on the wing. And I think you have a done a marvelous job both technically and aesthetically.

After 100 dribbly drops and chess DPC'ers still can never get enough. Interesting background and totally awesome checkerboard top droplet. Technically up to snuff in all departments. I also like the starburst kiss near the drop base as an added visual interest. I would ignore the few whiny remarks about certain squares not being more white. It's a terrrific image that fits the challenge doubley well.
