Reading is FUNdamental (Day 34)by karmatComment: Karmat, as a fellow homeschooler I can completely identify with the anxiety bit. I have been homeschooling my kids from the beginning, and every now and then I STILL get this choking sensation where I feel like I can't possibly be an adequate teacher and what if I mess up? But I do OK, and I know you will, too-- better than OK.
Kudos to you for going the extra mile with your son's education. You won't regret it.
(I like this busy picture. In the thumb, it looked very abstract; now at this size I keep wanting to study it and see what all the books are. I knew you were a homeschooler as soon as I saw the "HBJ Spelling" :) ). |

Day 26 of 50 - Bolt IIby krafty1Comment: Great macro, with the rough, worn texture on the 'smooth' areas, and the red paint still in the crevices of the threads. |

Day 25 of 50 - Col. Tom'sby krafty1Comment: WOW. This is a fantastic shot, well worth the drive. I love the strong red tones and the way the diagonal of the roof seems to be echoed in the way the sign balances out the window and door. Even the power lines across the top are as well-placed as power lines ever can be.
Man, I miss rambly drives like that. Stupid $3 gasoline. |

Day-32.jpgby KenComment: What a great portrait of Grannie Jennie. Thank you for sharing her with us. It's awesome that you get to have her in your life for so long, and I imagine she cherishes your visits as much as you do.

50Day32: Palsby citymarsComment: I love how the garish lights behind them draw the eye at first but then you see the men sitting there and the whole thing comes together - ping! OK, sometimes I have strange ideas, but the fact is that this is a really cool shot regardless of my zany and inadequate attempts to describe the reason. :) |

Day 29 - Phoneby BAMartinComment: Now there's a shot that makes you think -- you could write a story about it. The b/w treatment is perfect for the shot. |

Day 29 - One Down, Two to Goby runericComment: Ooh, pretty. I love roses. In this shot, I like how the vivid green background holds its own against the delicate rose -- good balance. |
