It does strike me as a little blurry, which -- while surely only natural for a human subject, and not very badly so -- still ends up being a bit distracting to me. Still gets a 7 from me, though. A tad of cropping off the top might have even gotten it to an 8. |

Anyway, cool shot. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

And that's coming from the standpoint of really liking this image. An optimistic 9 from me. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Well, why should I not? It's a baby's eye (the kid in question is 6 months old), and it's blue.
I tinted the overall image towards blue a tad, too, which may have been a mistake, I don't know... some have commented that they didn't like the skin tones.
*shrug*, live and learn, I guess. :-)
I did have some closer shots of her eye, and that had been the intention originally, but I thought this shot captured a double ententre, as she looks a little "blue" (as in sad) there, to me -- though I don't think she actually was.
Anyway, thanks to those who left feedback. Thanks even more to/if anybody's reading this. ;-) |

Enquiring minds do want to know, though, to borrow the phrasing of a previous poster: "what are the orbs?"
???? I must know! :-)
Again, congrats. A very worthy image. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 01/30/2006 10:35:49 PM | Pensiveby sajinComment: Wow, very nice capture of this man. I would suggest cropping a little off the top, and a fair bit (maybe 1/4 of the image) off the left (leaving a little space around his head, but cropping off a bunch of his shoulder), to frame his face more in the upper-left of the frame, for even more impact... and that's on a shot that I found pretty impactful to start with. :-)
Alas, the (lack of) cropping I'm finding to be more distracting than I'd like... With it, I think this image would be at least a 9, and maybe even a 10 for me. without it, I'm struggling... I want to give it an 8, because it's such a nice capture of a moment, but I find it just doesn't quite sit well with me, and so I think I'll have to give it a 7. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
