I can't get the personification or atleast I don't know if anyone else would see what I might be seeing or what you saw. I hail you for not giving a title to the picture though. Many give titles to their pictures to force the personification on the viewer.

Good eye for capturing what is very much human-looking. Unfortunately, for the same reason, this does not meet the challenge where it says "non-human looking".

Personification not powerful enough. Once you do away with the title, either the personification is totally lost or there are infinite interpretation possiblities.

Beautiful shot. However, I have to argue that less of the personification is in the photograph and more in the mind of the photographer. In other words, all flowers do become like that after a while; it's up to you whether you're in the mood to see them as personification of sorrow, or just withered flowers. The picture by itself, without the title, doesn't incline me towards that mood.
