Love the tones in this shot and the idea you were going for. I think it might have been a bit more effective if you had included more of the flowers at the bottom though. Just my opinion, but the image seems a hair too abruptly cut off at the bottom. Otherwise, great job. |

i used to have flowers like these in my yard. they were awesome. i don't know if i love the placement of the subject in this picture though. maybe if u did more of a closeup on the flowers it'd be more interesting? but that's just my opinion. nevertheless good job! |

Lovely photo of the flowers, but I don't get the feeling of personification out of this image. |

I think the lighting and colouring is very appropriate for the mood. I would have liked to see more of the lillies, though. They could have filled 2/3 of the frame and you would still have been able to see the background. |

Yes nice, the rule of thirds might have worked better horizontally rather than vertically. |

Interesting interpretation. I would try to get them from a different angle to really appreciate them and maybe crop the top just a bit. |

Nice shot. Maybe not enough convincing. I think you should have bent them even more. They would look more sad...if that was the idea. Great background |

Not sure I understand the composition of this image but I really love the tones used. |

Fine work, nailed the concept.
I needed to scroll image on my 15' screen, took a few times to see the tombstone, then true impact struck me.
Really effective picture.....10 |

I think the cut off flower needs to be in or out. The capture of personification isn't bad. Better than most, but there are a number better than this as well. The middle lily seems to be a bit overexposed. 6 |

The title says more than the shot does to me. |

Beautiful shot. However, I have to argue that less of the personification is in the photograph and more in the mind of the photographer. In other words, all flowers do become like that after a while; it's up to you whether you're in the mood to see them as personification of sorrow, or just withered flowers. The picture by itself, without the title, doesn't incline me towards that mood. |

Very nice. You could think that the unused space on the top would be distracting, but I think it just embrases the emphasizes the impression the flower gives. I like this one. One of my favourites in this challenge. |
