Did you use 2 strobes? One strobe set low (the 'bottom one) and the other set at perhaps a 45 degree angle (the 'top' one)? I ask becuase I think lighting is probably my weakest skill right now so I try and figure out what lighting was used for pictures I really like, such as this one.

I really loved the sky in this picture. The dodging was a bit obvious on the buildings, may not have been needed in this case, hard to say.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree that its over noise reduced and the lighting was not the best. The fact is that I wasnt even thinking of the challenge when I took this picture. I had taken a different picture to use in the green challange but it hadnt come out. This was the only other thing green I had taken. Had I planned the shot better I would have zoomed in much closer and worked at a better composition. As it was I had to crop so much of it that the final image was incredibly noisy and needed some extra passes, which obliterated some of the detail. A great learning experience tho, the words of my high school photography teacher still ringing in my ears; "fill the frame". Now they actually have meaning for me, Photoshop cant fix everything ;)

This looks very very familiar... A fine profile of what is obviously a focused and professional photographer.

Did you do this by combining multiple shots? I really like the effect.

Did you take that with a polarizing filter? That sky looks so blue!

I kinda like this shot. It might have been interesting to have shot it in silhouette, with the light shining thru the water.

If you had rubbed olive oil on the apple slices they would not have turned brown as quickley, a thin layer of mayonaise would do the same thing.

Still a great picture and one of my favs! The above tip is something I learned on the Food Network :D
