Nice shot, sucks to lose out on a blue ribbon with only some decimal points, I see both you and him scored exactly 7.094 so his must be 7.0941 or something... Anyway, I have a gut feeling you are going to get the blue and sooner rather than later. Congrats! |

Beautiful photo! Love the cornsnake. That must have been a difficult shot, corns can be so flighty.

Did you use 2 strobes? One strobe set low (the 'bottom one) and the other set at perhaps a 45 degree angle (the 'top' one)? I ask becuase I think lighting is probably my weakest skill right now so I try and figure out what lighting was used for pictures I really like, such as this one. |

Congratulations on the winning of your ribbon. Great photo! LOL, there's no way I would of got that close to that snake. Hard to believe how really close all three of us were in final score. |

Creative and quite striking, perhaps a little dangerous - definitely worthy of a Ribbon. In fact, I prefer it to the balloon shot. Congratulations.
edit: sheesh, talk about not doing one's proforeading...

Congrats. Great lighting. Wondering why there were some low votes there. I don't think you can get any more Rule of Thirds than that.
Btw, I see you are no longer in the 7 score but no ribbon club. Double congrats!
