the black and white (IR?) was a good choice. people are gonna lecture you about the rule of thirds, but the central composition really makes this piece. the idea of the waterfall was not very creative, but the execution is marvelously done. 9

great combination of stillness and motion blur. composition is interesting, especially with the non-standard ratio. the subject makes good use of the different size, fills the frame nicely. i like the slightly over-exposed white of the background alot, and the orange the sun makes. the colors are great, using near compliments (green oiffset with a little orange) quite nicely. i think it deserves a ten.

wow. new desktop. the colors are amazing. the composition is really good, except for the bubbles (which i find really distracting from the flow of the lines of the water). good range of lights and darks. dof used very effectively. the patterns in the water are beautiful. and i even like the grain. 10.

i didn't vote on this image, but allow me to explain it to the people who didn't exactly get it.

the album is actually a 12 inch single, a song called "Lovesong" by The Cure (thus the title of the picture). it's mine, btw. as is the bed.

think about it for a second or two folks. lovesong. an empty, unmade, bed. i know it's not blatantly obvious, not actually being the color blue, but that was NOT the challenge. just because you don't get it, doesn't mean it should get a low score. in fact, there should be points for subtlety, and making one think.
