Another Lonely Night

Thank you all for these wonderful comments and the high score. I had my doubts submitting the image for the challenge because it is far from my style.. if I have any. But just as I was walking near my home one beautiful evening I noticed the golden pond and that kind of lonely duck that had just arrived. I took some shots and thought this was the best. As I write this on a sunny evening where the pond could be struck with the same gold - it is far away from that: we have black ash clouds over this part of Iceland due to the volcano erupting last night. Does not look good.

Walk On By

I want to thank the Alternative Fine Arts Jury for awarding my �Walk On By� image in Fine Arts: Exhibit 2 as �Second Honors�. The image was not well received by the voters in the challenge, placed 145 of 162 images with the avarge score of 4.81. But the jury just made my day. I am deeply humbled.

The comments from the jury:

One image that I totally missed when voting is Walk on By. I'm liking this more and more... love the shape of the legs! Go-go boots! Colors are subtly wonderful. It makes you work and it rewards you.

- I also missed Walk on By and find the shapes and colors to be gorgeous.

- I like the movement, the 1960-Nancy Sinatra-ish of this. It's so hip and cool!
