Flood Tide & Cattails — Sunset by Bear_MusicComment: Bear, Congrats on the first place finish!!! A beautiful shot. The composition is great. I really like the depth you gave this by including the bullruhes. Great job. |

waiting for playtimeby tomzinhoComment: This is an okay shot and I like how the bench draws us to the ball. Something I immediately thought of, keeping your title in mind, is that it would have been cool with a wide angle close up of the ball and the playground in the background somehow. |

by BradComment: So it looks to me that you might have a wonderful photo here. I really like the lines and the curly-q at the end of the flower. While I believe that as a print, the strong and oversized border would be pleasant on the wall to see, here, it is a negative for me because it takes away from being able to enjoy what I think might be a really nice photo. after classesby agenkinComment: This is a good shot and really presents well in B&W (you know, good tonal range stuff). For me, there are a couple of minor things that might have improved the shot ... there is a shadow behind the couple and it looks really strange, like an extra person trying to pick the guys pocket. I know it was just the way the light was working, but it looks like an extra person. Also, the reflections are a bit of a distraction, but only minor. Finally, the squarish crop isn't working for me ... I think I would have like some of the bottom dark space cropped away. These are all just personal preferences. After all those critical comments, I do like the photo a lot and I gave it a good rating. |

Too Difficult by ladibugComment: I really like this shot. The title of the photo is perfectly matched for the expression on the child's face. I think that B&W is a good choice, matching the black vs. white theme of Chess. I've seen this done low key before, but never high key ... I think the high key is a nice match for the youthfulness of the subject. Exposure appears to be very good! If I could offer a suggestion, it would be for stronger focus on the eyes, it looks a bit soft there. JMO. |

Can't wait for Summer...by np22saComment: This is a pretty cool shot. A good moment, and great expressions on the kids faces. Technically, I believe this photo has good points and room for improvement. The exposure/processing is spot on. From dark background to the white pulled out pockets, the exposure seems very good. The contrast of the photo is extremely good! As for improvements, I really would like a little sharper focus on the kids. Perhaps you used a shutter speed that was a bit slow? Maybe a tripod with a ball head if possible? Either was, the focus of the 2 boys is just a bit soft for my liking. JMO. |

Sensory Perceptionby ImagineerComment: Very nicely done. I love the panning, the colour and the expression which is easily seen in this photo. Good work. |

The Apprenticeby CaillieComment: I like the moment that you captured. Composition is good, but there are a couple of very distracting elements, including the white writing on the wall, the dark shadow along the right edge and the white item along the right edge. |

Swinging Towards the Cloudsby Perfecti0nComment: Interesting composition, but the combination of the noise in the image and the halo around the leg, feet and wood beam is very distracting for me. JMO. |
