This looks like it was shot from the new football field in Weehawaken. Nice job. I always have shot at sunset from near the Charthouse. I am going to have to get up pretty early to grab a lovely shot like this.

Great location and color. I have a problem with the lack of crisp focus. I understand how hard that is to achieve though. Try a shorter shutter speed, like a second and open up the aperture as wide as you can.

BTW I really miss the towers too.

Crescent Body

Wow this is the second highest image I have ever entered in a challenge. Thanks so much for your support and comments.

I wanted to tell you all I think I learned something here. Jessica and I were shooting with another photographer and he and I were sharing the strobes. At this shot I had my 50-200mm lens on and boosted my ISO to 400 since it wasn't my turn to use the strobes. The light source is from the modeling lights in the background.

After reading some of the comments I thought to myself I should not have converted it to B&W. So I figured I would upload the color and you can tell me if you think it is better.

As you can see the questions as to the placement of the body are answered in the original with her hands on her hips and the entire body perfectly centered in the frame. I liked the Crescent in the title because it reminded me of how the moon looks as a crescent in the sky, sometimes it almost looks like you can see the dark side of the moon.

As much as I like this image and the model is nude, I can't rate it very high since the nude is not the main image it is the emptiness that draws me to this. Love the lighting though very well done, just not a nude in the sense that nude is the main part. Hope I made sense.
