Circle of Light

This is a great fireworks shot. After just shooting on the 4th, I realize how difficult it is to get just a single burst in the frame. I wish the pyrotechnic guys would work with us a bit more!!! :) This is a strong photo, but the bottom bursts is so strong and intense against the black sky that it detracts from the big burst, that I think should/is the main focus point of the shot. - 6 - JeB

I'm trying to decide if this composition is as strong as it could be... I don't know if it would be stronger with or without the woman. I think it might be stronger without - her red contrasts so much with the rest of the photo, that she draws me away from the "circle" lake itself, reducing it's efficiency as a major entity of the photo. - 7 - JeB

Neat idea!!!!! I wish the focus would have been constant and clear throughout - I think it would complete this particular shot. The green M&M's already do a great job of leading me to the focal point, so the lack of focus distracts me... although I know complete focus is difficult on a macro like this. - 7 - JeB

This is a neat idea and I think you should explore it further. The shadows are distracting... both from the balls and what seems to be a pole. Perhaps another perspective, a bit lower would work on this/ I'm not sure of the background though :( It just doesn't seem to "pop" to me... - 5 - jeB

Wow - you spent some time arranging her hair! This is a neat idea that meets the challenge. There are a few spots on her face that are a bit hot - but I'm sure will look fine outside of the challenge with some editing. Neat idea. - 6 - JeB
