My daughter and I sat in my bathroom floor for an hour fixing her hair! |

this brought a smile as soon as I saw it. The composition isn't my favorite, but pretty creative |

Great idea, great work on the hair. The lighting leaves much to be disired, though. That flash in the face... |

ah, looking at the thumbnail, I thought she was standing up and had waxed hair - that would have been great. well, done on the set up. |

Fun idea! The background is a bit noisy though. A run through neat image or noise ninja will help reduce it. Also shooting at a lower ISO. Very creative though! |

Very unique concept and excellent composition, but the lightning is a tad bit harsh & unflattering. Good work. |

very good idea too bad for the huge amount of grain and bad choice of lighting. maybe u should have gone for a more centered composition too. |

great idea and posing. Something is missing though, I think you could have played with lights more, to expose different areas in a more creative way. I love the hair formations. |

A creative take on the challenge, I like that. Nice lighting and a lovely subject, but the image is a bit flat. Bumping contrast a touch might help, but probably needed to add another, softer light source low and near her face. (That would also serve to remove the dark shadow beneath her face.) 8 |

I think this would have been a much stronger entry if you had shot just her hair at closer range and left her face out of it. From this distance you lose a lot of the texture and fine light reflection you get from hair. |

Such a cute idea! IMO this would have been so much nicer with better light...the light here seems a bit harsh and direct...too "flash"...some side lighting aimed mainly at the curls with just hints of the models face would have been fantastic. ..and though I am a huge fan of B & W I really think this would be nice in color against a darker background...regardless, this is still a really fun idea! |

Seems somewhat over sharpened. Neat idea and beautiful model. One more comment: wish the background was of a lighter or darker depth to further accent the hair ringlets. Except for her, the tone is too grayish. Needs more contrast to really be effective (IMHO). BOL |

Wow - you spent some time arranging her hair! This is a neat idea that meets the challenge. There are a few spots on her face that are a bit hot - but I'm sure will look fine outside of the challenge with some editing. Neat idea. - 6 - JeB |

I really like this photo. Stylish and fun. Good use of the angle also, something that i am not normally fond of but that I find works well in this photo ~8~
