I've given the same basic comment on quite a few shots -- my preference (as I discovered while looking at a number of these blur shots) is for a sharp subject. When there is no sharp subject, my eye wanders around trying to find something to focus on. Perhaps just a difference in artistic preference.

It happens less on your shot than many of the others -- I think because there is plenty of contrast between the girl and the background, and the blur on the girl is not overdone. Perhaps just a difference in artistic preference.

Nice motion in the background. I can't tell if you softened the horse in post processing -- I've found that my preference in nearly all of these blur shots has been for a sharp subject. I like the look on the horse's face, and the main in the air. Overall, I really like the shot. I would have given an extra point for a sharper subject.

Nice shot! I like the background blur from the upwards panning angle. It would have been great to get the bike and ride more crisp. I know, though, that there are some limitations in place from the indoor lighting.

Overall I really like this shot. I would have given an extra point for a sharper subject.

I like this a lot. Did you just happen upon this? Or did you plan to be there at the right time? Very nice.

Very creative to have the shadow portion be properly exposed -- definitely made me do a double-take. Very nice!
