I'll have to look for some "pre-ches" pictures. The walls were bright yellow and blue when we got the place (think reverse best buy colors) It was really very uncomfortable to be in.

We will probably be studioless for 6-8 weeks. We're closing here end of July, hope to be open mid September latest October first.

We learned a TON here! Despite a financial failure, I don't consider it a business failure.

The sign is cool, we tried to copy the theme on the backwall by painting a film strip, There are samples of my work in the white part of the film strip, you can kinda see it back there.

One of the things I reall hate about it is the size. That wall over behind the piano is the width of the camera room. So there's a LOT of room out front, but it's very limited for shooting.

The new place will be 20' wide and 60' deep. We're expecting the camera room to take up 20x40 of that. We have a virtual background system including a 10x10 screen that gets fixed to one wall, then I want a high key wall, and possibly a chaise loungey setting as well. So much to do.... mostly we want a lot more flexibility.

Sign is for sale!!!!! Doesn't fit the new criteria for an otside sign, and I'd rather use my regular logo.

We've had some very nice people come, and a bunch that really should have been across the street at Wal-Mart. Problem is there isn't enough traffic to even cover the lease, let alone the cost of extra employees to keep it open every hour the mall is open. The average household income of people who actually hang out here is less than half what it is surrounding the area we are going to. And we'll have an outside store front so people can see us just by going in the parking lot next time.

We're planning on sending out a mailer (October is Family Portrait month after all) in September before we open to try to have some shoots that first week we're open.

We'll also get to have animals on premisis in the new place, AND be closed when we need to go on location... besides a bathroom! Gah have you ever been stuck alone in a store with no bathroom for 11 hours????
