Ripplesby carloComment: Maybe a little cropping, so the boy isnt' in the center (vertically) as much. I'd definetly suggest bringing up the shadows, so that the boy is less of a silhouette (fill flash in photoshop). Dunno, maybe you already did, and it was just a really bright day. |

Thorny Patternby DAWARComment: I think if the background were a little more discernable, the hilights not blown out it would help tremendously. Also (or maybe just alternatively), maybe a different perspective, where the spines draw your eyes across the photo. |

postsby midget_monkeyComment: My personal preference would have been for a slightly longer depth of field. Perhaps 2 or 3 stakes instead of just one. I think it'd make for a more powerful image. |

Aloneby bernmayComment: I was really close to giving it a 6 instead of a 5. I can't quite put my finger on the problem though. The contrasting colors between the middle and the bottom is good. Maybe because that theme doesn't continue as well into the top, the impact is decreased? |

The break in your whisperby BradComment: I think if the sand were a little brighter, then the shadows would be more dramatic, and at the same time. Tough call though, since the sun is already partially blown out. Maybe if taken just a few seconds later? |

I don't care what you call it, I want you to come to bed.by russbbrinkComment: My intention was for most of the flower itself to be the background with the details being the forground. I had a hard time cropping it to eliminate the gray corners and keep overall flow that I wanted, so I compromised and left a little bit of gray. Since the gray is just a touch at the corners most people don't seem to notice it too much.
But yea, I think it'd be a better shot without the gray corners, regardless of the challenge requirements. |

Godmother´s lookby StructorComment: I think it'd be much better if the highlights of the statue didn't overpower the background so much |

Mint on Whiteby stphqComment: Maybe some slightly bigger mints would make a bolder composition? |
