Because the subject (building's I presume) are being blocked by the bottom of the window, and nothing in the shot inspires me to think it's anything beyond a common snapshot. I know that probably sounds mean, and I don't mean it that way - but a submission for a contest should be inspired by something, IMHO. |

Cornered and Aloneby mesmerajComment: I didn't find this picture to be "over staged" at all, and certainly didn't find it to look like "stock photography". Would agree with some comments that more shadow would be nice, but the overall effect is great. I would have given it an 8. |
