You need a tighter crop, but good capture.

If it's his debut, we need to see him in action. Or at very least his face. A cutline would be able to say his name.

You can just title it what it really is.. It's interesting. I like the silhouettes. I don't like that street light.

Good moment, but would have been nice to get a different angle, maybe more of the fire. There's just a lot of space where we just see grass, non-burning trees and the truck. All of which aren't necessary. Also looks like a little bright. Watch the exposure.

Good angle, good composition. Classic small town photojournalism.

A little too wide. Would be nice to hone in on the people or officer. It's hard here to ascertain exactly what the story is. Also no need to be in B&W. Makes it more dramatic, but also takes out what could have been some nice details.

This comes off as more of a portrait than something that would run in a paper, but it's still interesting and tells a story.

Really well shot and edited. There are some nagging distractions here, like the finger in the foreground and the paw and sliver of black at the top. But nice job focusing on the people.

It's an interesting moment. While not a dramatic shot, it still tells a good story. Maybe better than any other entries.
