Beautiful shot, I love the empty composition minus the blowing curtain. The lighting is a little dark for my taste, but it's not terrible. THe biggest problem, is that I don't see the motion. You may be implying that the window is the still life and the curtain is in motion, but it's not totally clear, and may get you voted down.

The soft focus was an interesting idea, but I think it detracts from the idea of discerning "still life" from "motion." Your composition looks a little cluttered, but I love the lighting (minus the dark shadows on the arm). Nice attempt!

There's a fine line between "in motion" and "blurry," and yours is on the latter end. I love the idea, and the contrast is great. I think the crop is a little too tight on the bottom, but it works alright.

Peppers in the Pool

The motion takes too much of a back seat in your shot. I'm also left wondering: why are there peppers on rocks by a stream? It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The colors on the peppers look great, although I would have chosen something other than two yellow peppers. The flowers are a nice touch.

The motion is hardly noticeable in this shot. The contrast is great though, and the focus is nice as well. As for a strong center of interest, well it's not too great.

there isn't a strong sense of subject in this shot, and the hand reaching down (or up?) confuses me as to why it is there. The background looks nice, the lighting is pretty good.

There are so many places to look here. I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to be looking at. There are a lot of distracting elements, namely the outside of the window, the cage in the background, the underneath of the chair, the curtains, and the shadows on the wall. You may have elimanted some of those by simply shooting somewhere else.

Nice and sharp. The composition of the still life isn't very interesting. The motion is nice, however, and the green is a nice contrast to the browns.

Focus on the flower is off, and the water splashes aren't very apparent. The lighting is distracting on the water, and not strong enough on the flower. The colors look a little washed out as well. The idea was nice.
