For Better For Worse...

Well my first effort was a complete disaster but the good thing is, I can only get better!!
To be honest I'd been watching the site for ages and finally decided to take the plunge and give it a whirl. I wasn't totally happy with my picture but decided to enter it for experience purposes.
The picture was actually my wedding shoe with the hymn we sang and my wedding rings. Unfortunately it didn't work but I did appreciate all the comments even tho' they were all negative bar 1.
I'm a glutton for punishment so I'll be back :-)

This is what you call 'flash and blur' photography which I happen to really like with some subjects. In my opinion this really is a great shot,I would have been proud if it were mine!

I love your photo but I have to be honest, If I didn't know what catagory it was I would think this was a very good photo of a man with his horse. The shoes were not a focal point in the composition. Unfortunately, the same mistake I made.

I want you to know that I absolutely love this photo! To begin with I wasn't convinced it fell into the catagory of basic editing as I thought you'd used 2 images but on hind sight I think it may all be down to long exposure and swapping boot for foot. Am I right?

I'm not convinced this falls into the basic editing catagory. I could be wrong but it looks like you may have done some 'spot editing' to regain the colour (blue areas)

nice photo but I'm not sure how it fits in with basic editing. Surely you have desaturated it in some way and then paint brushed some of the colour back in which is 'spot editing' and not allowed.
