Trees of Knowlageby jentComment: Critique Club:
I like how the focus is on the trees. The trees are the main subject so that was clever of you. I really like the crop and the symmetry in the picture. There are a couple of things that could have gone better in my opinion. The building in the background tilts just a bit. And the road in the middle looks strange. Like their are grey paint on it or something. Placing an old man walking down that road would have made this picture amazing. Without and old man it is good as well ;) Good job and good luck in future challanges. |

Police chase ended badlyby Hordur AceComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Heill og sæll Hörður. Ãetta er nokkuð fÃn mynd. FÃnt móment hjá þér. Nokkur atriði sem mér finnst að hefðu mátt betur fara.
1. Lýsingin er ekki alveg 100%. DálÃtið dökkir bÃlarnir og lögreglumennirnir og ljós himinn. Hefði mátt aðeins lýsa betur bÃlinn sem er aðalatriðið.
2. Höndin sem er hægra megin à rammanum er dálÃtið truflandi.
3. Skiptir svo sem ekki máli fyrir útlendingana en það er sniðugt að tengja fréttamyndir við staðinn sem hann gerðist á. T.d. ef þessi mynd birtist à blaði þá væri flott að sjá hvar þetta er nákvæmlega. Sé þarna rétt à endann á JL húsinu sýnist mér. Hefði verið flott að taka þetta þannig að maður sæi meira af þvà til að tengja þetta strax við þennan stað.
Annars bara fÃnt móment og fÃn fyrir keppnina. Flott fréttaefni. Ãessir punktar eru auðvitað bara mÃn skoðun. Ekkert svo sem rétt à þessu öllu saman. Gangi þér vel à komandi keppnum.
Kveðja, Ãrni |

I like the eye contact between you and the man on the picture. The light is good in it. Dark background and light face works well. I like the close crop. Maby it could have been closer emphazising the beard? The only thing that bothers me just a bit is the yellow/red flag on the left of the photo. Good picture all over. Good luck in future challanges. Aloneby puzzledComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Amy. There is something about this image. The grey sky, the yellow beach and the white/red boat. My eyes travel all over the picture which is good. I want to look at it. The boat is perfectly placed in the picture. Everything in the photo leads me to the boat. The only thing I think could have made this picture better is an old fisherman walking down the peer towards the camere. Maby with the catch of the day. Great job with this picture. It will be going in my favorites.
Good luck in future challanges. Regards, Arni |

Lest We Forgetby KitaComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Kita. Just want to start saying. Your "Seven deadly sins II" and "Deja Vu II" shots are amazing. You got a bright future in photography without a doubt!
Now... about this picture. I think you could have done better. The idea is good. There is journalism in the picture and a good reminder for all the people that lost their lives at War. In my opinion the color is a bit off. It is kinda yellow/orange. Maby it would have worked well to have a person in the picture looking at the plaque? Just an idea. Good luck in future challanges. I'll be watching you! |

Street Performers: A Blessing or a Curse?by tryals15Comment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
The contrast between the harmonika and the jacket is just great. I think the tone of the wall and the face of the man is to alike. Darkening the background and lighting up the face would have made this picture stronger in my opinion. I like how the picture is tilting. I'm thinking about the left hand of the man. Maby it would have been better with the whole hand in the frame. Not sure. Good picture and good luck in future challanges. |

Ducks In a Rowby TooCoolComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
I really like the composition. I'm happy that you chose to take this one outside rather than inside a studio. Gives it much more live. They people in the background add to the picture. People probably thought you were crazy lying in the ground with 4 rubber ducks taking pictures :) The only thing that I think could have been done better is the background. A simpler background. Maby white stone but keeping the people walking. A good picture all together. Good luck in future challanges. |

Not playing with a full deckby LalliSigComment: Reminds me off a picture I took for the "Faceless" challange:
Outside strobeing always works well on dpc :) The rock in front of the chair... not sure about that. Not sure if that was planed or not. The only thing i would have done different is to have the space between the model and tha chair shorter. It will place highly for sure. Good luck. |
