Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Amy. There is something about this image. The grey sky, the yellow beach and the white/red boat. My eyes travel all over the picture which is good. I want to look at it. The boat is perfectly placed in the picture. Everything in the photo leads me to the boat. The only thing I think could have made this picture better is an old fisherman walking down the peer towards the camere. Maby with the catch of the day. Great job with this picture. It will be going in my favorites.
Good luck in future challanges. Regards, Arni |

Wow Amy! I think this has a very cool feel to it! I don't get the 5.021 score at all. I love that misty look in the background. It adds to the mood of the photo. I just love it. |

I think I would walked up a bit further and cut out that brown build up.
The photo has tons of potential, I just know if you captured it. |

vidgnetting on the sky is nice!
The water needs more details, in my taste. |

Nice lines, I may have tried cropping the bottom a bit more so the sand and darker brown water's edge were the same height. Also I'd like the blues bumped up and the red/oranges bumped down a bit. |

Wow! This image has a stack of feelings, for me anyway. Nice leading lines from the pier/jetty, solid rule of thirds application, looks like a storm is coming and I wouldn't want to be heading off in that little boat. Hence your choice for the title which works very well. Did you consider a doutone for this? Just a thought. Anyway, great capture...best of luck. 8 |

I think this would have been stronger if you had cropped it at the bank that's in the foreground and gotten rid of the sand. It would have been a little simpler and the boat would stand out more. |
