The narrown depth of field doesn't work here and the shadows from multiple light sources just don't look good at all. One strong light source from the back-left would have sufficed.

Simple and effective. The black border seems wrong to me, as if the white should be wider than the black to contrast with the black background. Eh, no big deal. 8.

I'm going to ignore my knee-jerk response of "Does Not Meet Challenge" by assuming the bush is at the proper point and give this an 8. Great picture. Next time, the division between the white sand and the dark mountains should be a third of the height from the top of the frame. Right now, the blank sky takes up too much room for so little interest.
