For the people that mentioned it in the comments... the bird is actually an African Grey parrot. There was no desaturation of color... that's their natural shade. Just a little fyi

Stark, sharp contrast, sharp focus, love the dark background. Lighting is perfect, border is even good. Complaints? None. Very well done.

Love the use of the negative space around the bird & the sharp detail in his eye & feathers. Could possibly cropped a little off the top to put the eye slightly higher in the frame. Meets the challenge.

Simple and effective. The black border seems wrong to me, as if the white should be wider than the black to contrast with the black background. Eh, no big deal. 8.

I like this in b&w, but I think it would also be nice in color, especially if the parrot is a bright color.
