I just wanted to say that this post just tickled me..we live on an army base, and this sign is just on the gate, and beyond is the "bad" part of town off-base. so basically, beyond is death, hehe! also, those arent powerlines in the background, its actually razorwire that tops the fence the sign is on. Thanks for all the great comments!

some people may tell you this is a snapshot, but snapshots are real (not created in a studio) and hard to get right (light, focus etc)..well done! And b&w bring the focus onto the faces, rather than the colors I imagine are on the cake and such.
