The Mask I Must Wear

It is interesting that I've come back to this photo several times and stared at it but felt for a lack of words. It seems to remind me of something from my childhood yet I cannot quite grasp the memory. It seems a little troubling to me I'm not sure why, maybe it is the memory maybe the gaze. She looks like she is looking right into me. Lighting and color seem good, the reflection off the black paint is a bit distracting I think. Only other thing is the tiny gap between the two colors. Still a good image. :)

I wasn't planning to vote on this challenge until I saw this entry. I find it breathtaking. The black and white really sets off the contrast between the mask and her skin. I find the model alluring yet mysterious.

However I do see a few things I don't like in this image. The first I notice is the part of the feather going over her forehead. The reflection of her left eye (---> in image) looks soft and also her hair seems slightly soft.

Still I love it.

Hmm, not a mask, not a person wearing a mask, not makeup looking like a mask, I cannot say this, exactly meets the challenge even loosely sorry. On the plus side the image is technically good, clear, good color.
