You DEFINANTLY got the texture part down...but...what am I looking at? This is the first time that I simply can't figure out what the picture is of. Luckly for you, I don't think that it would be right to vote you down on this, because hey, It does have texture! And I 'think' the color is pretty good, too. (It would be a hell of a lot easier to tell that if I knew what it was). Although I don't know what you photographed, I'm still going to give you a 7 just for the texture part

Close up it's in focus, but farther out it gets really blurry. I think I would have aimed the camera more downward and cropped off the top part.

I can tell that it's out of focus, or the camera moved. You have plenty of texture, but this seems like a plain, boring picture of a log. It needs something special, I don't know what, but it definantly needs something.

'Nice and tight'... Are you talking about the rope or the camera shot? I would have gotten a little 'nicer and tighter', or crop off the board on the bottom (it's a little distracting)
