If you had named it "Rays" then I guess it would've been MY photo, har har. I always enjoy it when you include a little background commentary with the photo. Nice score, competition must be getting stiffer when 5.8+ gets you around the 50% mark! Merry Christmas Barry.

Love this one, the lensbaby sure worked it's magic. I like the way the bottom right is anchored with that electric blue, and the way the saturated chalk pieces are scattered along the left side... the veins in his hand and the faint tattoos on his arm. Artistry, Mr. B. Wish you'd included your comments about the when and where. Congrats on the finish.

I agree, I also like the composition and the b/w processing, especially the textures. However at least on my work PC, there is no detail at all in the whites or blacks of the main boats... don't know if a better monitor would reveal more subtle details or not. Maybe that's the reason for all of those "5" votes. Even so, underrated in my opinion.

Very nice backlighting! Would've loved another version of this shot where she's completed the turn to face the camera.

Very nice portrait, I love her eyes and smile and how they dominate the composition due to the way you framed the face and also filled the frame. Light's lovely too. Seems to lack a little sharpness and to have a very shallow depth-of-field, but those are little picky crits. I think it's really a wonderful portrait.

Like this one a lot. The three unrelated figures at extreme positions in the frame really work for me.

What a wonderful portrait of your friend; what a moving, sad story about the passing of his bride. God bless Lou.
