Nice shot....

I would have done some skin toning on it.

since details of skin are not shown you can put small amount of glow.

Also if she has no objection then try playing with eye color ( though brown fits but never the less you can try other )

I wd see if I can edit and send

What I like about it is that it has that "something" that supersedes whether or not it is "technically" perfect. It captures her personality, and you have managed to make her very comfortable with you and it shows in her being comfortable with the camera. Personally, I think it is the kind of thing that is hard to teach someone. They either have it naturally or they don't. So Bravo to you. You'd never know it was your first portrait shoot. I'm thinking you prob'ly oughta have lots more in your future :)

I think it's a great portrait. Not tack-sharp, but in this case, it has more of a film quality.

Very nice portrait, I love her eyes and smile and how they dominate the composition due to the way you framed the face and also filled the frame. Light's lovely too. Seems to lack a little sharpness and to have a very shallow depth-of-field, but those are little picky crits. I think it's really a wonderful portrait.

not sure what software you are working with, might have tried to adjust the white balance a little in this one. Maybe some Librodo sharpening?
