I like the way you can see the details in both the light and dark areas like you should in an HDR photograph. However, I would like to see more of a clear subject matter. This would help to seperate the shot from appearing like a snapshot of the woods.

The details in the dark section are not identifiable. With an HDR image you should be able you should be able to see the details in both the light and dark areas.

I know that capturing any wildlife is hard, but in my opinion you need to capture the birds face or have the bird in some sort of action to tell a story to seperate the shot from just a snapshot.

For an HDR photograph, I would expect more details in both the bright areas like the sky and the dark areas like under the steps and in the trees.
