I'd like to be able to SUBMIT a bit bigger photo. Unfortunately, I'm limited by both resolution AND file size.
But, as usual, I'm extremely thankful that you judge my work not on the work itself but by the rigid limitations of a 150K file size limit. :) |

I did...and the website wouldn't allow the submission because the file size was 15K too big. |

Read below. Like most of the comments on "the pic is too small" I was forced to submit a very small photo by the site. The original is far larger. |

Actually, I am limited by the file size. I attempted to upload a larger picture that was 640X? and the website would not allow it to be uploaded. I spent 45 minutes resizing the picture DOWN by 10 pixels and submitting it until I finally created one small enough that the website would allow it.
The original is approximately 2K vertical by 1.5K horizontal. Message edited by author 2004-12-07 15:49:43. |

The original photo as well as the retouched version I did in photoshop is much higher resolution. However, when I attempted to upload a version that was 640x? it was too large. I had no choice but to make it smaller.
Regardless of resolution, if it exceeds a certain file size then I can't submit it!
I want you to evaluate my work for THE WORK, not the resolution. Message edited by author 2004-11-09 18:24:25. |

B-Lineby IvoComment: I see a B-mass. I see a B-curve. I see a B-squiggle. I don't see a B-line. Additionally, the focus is way to shallow and the lense flare in the upper left hand corner doesn't help the image. It feels accidental. |

On Top of the Worldby OlyuziComment: Nice color and light. However, I don't see any lines in this at all. Submitting this is a massive stretch for the subject. |

Cathedral Candlesby lagavulinComment: Great subject matter. But your composition is so neutral that it undermines any drama. The result is it feels like a well lit snap shot. |
