Beachesby ZippyComment: There is not enough contrast in tone for my taste. Great point of view, though!! |

Cinderella's storyby HalimComment: I don't quite get it, but it looks pretty cool. Whatever technique you employed here should do killer in the Breaking New Ground challenge! |

Rose Paradeby DefyTimeComment: This is a very sweet image - I love the expression on the children's faces. The movie you tie it to is pretty obscure (I had to google search for it). I would have gone with "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden", maybe. |

P( 3,14) darren arnofskyby akyrosComment: I like this shot -- the deep contrast & over-saturation are appealing, and the composition is great - but it looks just like the hardback cover photo of the book, "You Are Not A Stranger Here", which makes me torn about my vote: you are very clever in tying the sprial to the movie, but I feel the image itself is not "original." But should "originality" be a factor of my vote? And for all I know, you were the photographer of the photo on the book, so my vote is a 9. |

'Gone With the wind'by Richie23Comment: My first thought was that it doesn't really relate to the title, but I guess you're referring to the delicacy of the wings - it's a stretch, but I'll go with it : ) Techically, it seems a little out of focus. Great colors, though! |

Gone with the wind.by arminComment: Great idea, but it lacks the "Wow" factor - the flat sky doesn't do much for the colors of the umbrella, and the little bit of bramble in the corner is more bothersome than helpful. You definitely need something there to emphasize the lift of the umbrella from the ground, but that isn't doing it. I really like the idea, though, so I'm giving a 6. |

Harveyby xtabintunComment: A very clever idea - never saw the movie, but it's about an imaginary rabbit, right? Unfortunately, I think the fuzzy edges of the shadow makes it seem like the rabbit is sitting way closer to the camera than the human, which I guess you had to, in order to make cast such a large shadow? I'll stop rambling now. To recap: Great idea, nice execution, just a minor quibble. |

Lazy River (1934)by NodeComment: black & white was a great choice - the horizon seems tilted, which is a bit bothersome, but otherwise it's a beautiful picture. |
