Never heard of the movie, but this is a great shot. I like the movement, color and black framing effect

It's got me looking all around and around - great!

So you've been to Rome ;) Too much contrast, the oval border is really strange as it cuts many of your picture's curves. 2.

The details don't seem to be crisp and out of focus. Nice curves but border distracting.

Could have been "Vertigo" also.

Inrtiguing, to say the least. An eye winder.

This reminds me of something i can't put my mind to right now - I mean a particular photographer's work - in that tonality, that use of contrast. Great, strong image. Not entirely a fan of the oval border thing - makes me wonder whether the image wouldn't have stood by itself, without that extra emphasis on the cirularity - feels like you're over-egging the pudding. One of the more interesting and arrresting images in this challenge. Thanks for submitting it.

very strange atmosphere, interesting photo, any weird post done on it?

I like this shot -- the deep contrast & over-saturation are appealing, and the composition is great - but it looks just like the hardback cover photo of the book, "You Are Not A Stranger Here", which makes me torn about my vote: you are very clever in tying the sprial to the movie, but I feel the image itself is not "original." But should "originality" be a factor of my vote? And for all I know, you were the photographer of the photo on the book, so my vote is a 9.

Actually pi is in every sphere, spiral... and human being. I'd like see the hole spiral uncut. Well done.

explain?

cool top 15

This is a really exciting photo! Perhaps it would have been better had the stairs been empty, however i understand that may not have been possible. Overall i really like it!

I had to look up the IMDB for this one ... it's a good idea to proofread your title before posting.

Light gives it a great effect

I like the effect created here, but the oval border bugs me a bit.
Concerning the border: I like the concept and the framing effect, but the transition from black to photo is so hard. Especially when you see the shadows that go from black to blue in a nice soft way. I don't know if it had been basic rules legal, but a softer transition on the border (feathering it) might be preferable.
The image: The lines of the staircase draw me deeper and deeper. The people on the stairs give direction, add movement and flow, enhance the perspective and give scale. I think that even without the people it still might look good. The person looking upwards, standing still = interesting.

Excellent photo, but the film title is actually "Pi" (I'm sure its just a typo, but I don't want you to run into any sort of trouble)

If you don't get a ribbon I'll be very surprised. This is very compelling and dramatic. It's so unique and innovative I can't stop looking at it. Love the saturation effects too. 10

One of my fave movies...and even though it's all misspelled in the title, I do like the photo. The contrast of the photo feels like the movie and the curve of the stairs add to it as well, but it doesn't have that wow-factor. If this place were totally empty, I'd imagine you'd get great shots. I'll still give ya a 7 for your effort.
