Lilyby KaBooMComment: The aninmation on the subject's face truly makes this photo. The trick of rotating your image to give the illusion that she is suspended joyfully in the air adds the perfect complement to her expression. Great fun! |

Your alternate option: Appleby hyphaefungiComment: Fun idea! Apple devotees are so dedicated. I would like to see the apple icon a bit more in forcus and the Z a bit softer. I like this and the thought you put into it. Nice job. |

waiting for the lightby lightningComment: I really like how you framed this photo. I would like to see the bushes in the midrange a bit crisper. I think a wider range of values would up the intensity and impact of this piece. |

This Too Shall Passby gruvinComment: I absolutely love this image. The hopefulness of having the flower face to the right, the water drops which symbolized the tears of healing for me. The values in the flower and the crispness of the petals are superb. I would crop the right edge in toward the flower a bit more so there is a feeling the moving beyond the pain is more within reach, but that is just a petty little comment. Outstanding work. Thanks for sharing it. |

Grid Lockby cabaComment: Nice use of the diamond/square motif. This is certainly beyond your control, but the fact that the wires are not perfectly straight bothers me. The idea is brilliant because of the subject matter in the background. The tunnel of light hinting at escape and the world beyond works very well. This images takes some work on the part of the viewer in the sense that it is almost interactive. I see more elements each time I look at it, yet it isn't cluttered. It might be easily overlooked by voters who are in a rush or unwilling to make an effort with a photo. I think it works just as well as an image that is immediately striking, if not better. Really nice work. |

Anchor on Deckby GoboltsComment: I like the fact that you took a risk with this photo, but the image is too confusing for me, too centered. The rope leading to the anchor is and interesting element. |

Mt. Rainierby timj351Comment: A little too much foreground in this beautiful image. Cut some of it so the the lake is more a complement to the mountain. |

Simply black and whiteby Cobra517Comment: These utilitarian images are a good idea. With the clock image, I tend to think of time passing so I want the image to be way over to the left in the frame instead of the right. I want the wall to be crisp and white to make the dark images stand out. Nice concept, though. Keep working the idea. |

Arcadeby AlbireoComment: Nice subtle variation on the motif with the dark arch. Really elegant and a great study in the power of contrast. Although the arches move down, I get the feeling of upward movement. Again, that contrast makes what could have been just an average photo, a very good photo. |
