Great Shot. This looks so much like the original. Even though it is black and white, my mind just sees that blood as red. Brillinat work and I like the blown out whites on the subject's hand. It makes it so that I cannot tell if it is male or female - Marion Crane or Norman Bates. Outstanding work!

This is what truly sucks...er...blows...whatever. I am NOT a smoker. I didn't read the rules carefully and shot just any ol' New Year's Resolution. I tried to have myself DQed but they wouldn't do it. Want to know something even worse? That is my daughter pretending to smoke. She did a smoker's resolution, too. (She is also a non-smoker. At least she better be!)This is so not funny. My students will never let me live it down that I didn't read the directions carefully. Wait... I think I hear social services knocking at the door. Gotta go...better hide my daughter...

I like everything about this shot: the technical "merit" (forgive the pun); the cropping; the hint of lipstick on the cigarette butt; the smoke; the broken cigarette in the ashtray. One of the best shots of the challenge. Excellent job! 10
