Sewingby saldamanComment: This is great - the old look, the muted colors - I like this a lot. I don't really think of sewing as a trend, but the way you present it here with the old equipment strengthens the connection. Something probably should have been done about the window and the background, even if you were going for that candid look. |

Levis and Laceby SonifoComment: I think you went a little overboard with the tones. Contrast is good, but the pose seems a little unnatural. |

Preservation Hallby ChiquiComment: This is certaily a nice shot with excellent tones. The problem I'm having is with this shot meeting the challenge. Is jazz a trend? Sure, why not. Are jazz bars a trend? Certainly. But the only obvious connection to jazz in the photo is the trombone case-shaped sign. And without the title, I probably would not have even noticed the sign. A bit of a stretch, I think, but I still like the shot. |

The Right to Bear Armsby kebmod54Comment: I like the repetiveness here. Tones are good, but the blown out middle rifle really kills the shot, so to speak. Also, the edges are really jagged, which tells me the image is oversharpened. I also hope that the right to bear arms is just a trend. But I'll keep my views on the subject out of the voting. |

Circle Star Saluteby MeccaComment: *shakes head*
It's a shame so many people could not appreciate this. Don't take the score personally, it's just that the majority here don't see the merits of photographs that are anything other than tack sharp. The great comments you received should offer some consolation... |

Around the Bendby kebmod54Comment: Until I saw the note I was going to give you a 1 because this was obviously not taken within the challenge period. Now I'll give it a 1 because I\'m convinced you edited the EXIF data. Surely you could have found something round during the challenge?! just kidding... come on... people need to find something better to do with their time.
Composition is good. But I think that because there\'s no overwhelming color, it might be a good candidate for black and white or possibly sepia. It would really bring out the texture in the road and the walls. |

Recycleby GeneralEComment: The color is nice and the photo is sharp. However, it appears to be slightly unlevel and the subject does not interest me greatly. |

Pawnee Grasslands Moonflowerby dacrazyrnComment: The lighting, perspective and neg. space make this more interesting than most flower shots. But I think I'd like to see more light on the flower at the bottom of the frame. |

All on my own...by agwrightComment: I took this into photoshop and jacked up the levels and to me, it made the marble stand out a lot more by adding contrast. As it is, it seems a little flat. I think this is partly due to underexposure caused by the light background. |
