The Boy Who Giggled So Sweetby gsalComment: I would like this better if the desaturation was reversed, where the world was grey and the laughing child was in color. |

Blue Lagoonby marboComment: Pictures like this almost always give me a "cool" feeling.
When this challenge is over, please write up a how you did this, I have a few images that might turn out well with an effect like this applied.
Back to the image...
It's sharp, crisp, the infrared-like effect works well with the foliage and the blue is a wonderful shocking touch of color. All around quite nice. |

Macawby wmprkgComment: I have seen these birds before. Let me guess... Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom? (Am I right?) I took a few pictures of birds exactly like these two (if they aren't the birds I am thinking off) a few years ago on our honeymoon.
Anyway, great capture. The bird that is the primary focus is pin sharp and seems to be looking straight at you. The bokeh effect is very good as well. The image is a little bright for my tastes, I think it could use a slight darkening and then up some of the saturation levels to "pop" the blue, yellow and green in the image. |

Daddy, can I feed the birds?by gseidenComment: It's not a bad composition. It could have benefited from a slightly faster shutterspeed (which would probably necesitate a stronger flash).
There is one "glaring" problem with the image. The child's jacket has reflectors on it that are very distracting to the eye. The reflectors do take away from the rest of the image. |

OWLby AlainComment: Good shot, but the focus is a bit soft. The composition is nice as well. |

Moonlight Sonataby kirbicComment: Unbelievable. This is an amazing shot.
How did you pull this one off? What kind of post-processing did you hit this with? I am very, very impressed. |

Demolitionby RetinusComment: The whole frame is sharp, but the image is very snapshotty. |

I wish I was driving... on a highway... beneath this graveyard western skyby fstopopenComment: I really like the effect you have applied to this image to make the colors stand out like they are. The composition, to me, is very nice.
However, my eyes do keep getting drawn towards a small mass of shrubbery about 1/3 from the left side near the road. It's partially the large patch of brightness in the otherwise dark green area. |

An Icelandic Landformby bergwaltersComment: Other than the image being a bit dark (My flat panel is calibrated to the barchart below) the image is a great capture. |

Oppositeby Joey LawrenceComment: Nice effect. Please share how you obtained this effect after the challenge is over...
To me, the angle makes the image more interesting then it otherwise would be. The scene itself is an interesting contrast and matches the title nicely.
Good job. |
