You have really not maximised the potential in this shot by entering it at a smaller than limited size. Is a nice shot with good DOF. |

It would have been nice if you could have included the entire bird in the foreground. Your comp is nice. It seems the bird is blowing bubbles with the white spots arching up from his beak. |

Nice use of DoF to isolate the bird from the one in the background, but still make the background one recognisable :) |

I have seen these birds before. Let me guess... Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom? (Am I right?) I took a few pictures of birds exactly like these two (if they aren't the birds I am thinking off) a few years ago on our honeymoon.
Anyway, great capture. The bird that is the primary focus is pin sharp and seems to be looking straight at you. The bokeh effect is very good as well. The image is a little bright for my tastes, I think it could use a slight darkening and then up some of the saturation levels to "pop" the blue, yellow and green in the image. |
