What's The Big Idea?by simbambaComment: From a photographic point of view, the image seems to be sufering with some excessive noise, flare from the sun near the bird's face which is very distracting and an awful lot of chromatic abberation. Also as you would expect a creature of this nature to be in a lake, I cannot see how this is serendipitous. |

Surpriseby alexvoloComment: Nice close up of an eye but nothing to do with serendipity for me I am afraid (Finding someone has an eye is not an unexpected surprise) |

Stranger in the houseby photomComment: Photographically an interesting composition. For this to work as serendipity there has to be a need for the observer to see why a button in this situation is desireable, which unfortunately I cannot see where it does. |

.....a diamond!by lelaniComment: If that isn't a diamond in the egg - rather the residue from ther egg white - then congratulations : A great shot. If it is staged, then interesting idea but not as impressive. Image could be a little sharper. |

Looks more fun than shoppingby redmoonComment: Distractions top left of picture, but I think it does meet the challenge, the inquisitive looks from shoppers helps - can't decide whether two of them being blurred or not helps (probably not). If anyone is interested this is a show car of the Jordan Ford EJ14 in colour scheme from the recent Bahrain GP (Identifiable by the peace logo from Bahrain on the engine cover that is due to change every GP). |

The Lucky Lotto Ticketby MichaelsComment: Sady this is not serendipity but pure good fortune (Although I have enough trouble understanding the word, so the clearly non-english-first-language-speaking submitter should be complimented on a good idea and nice photographic execution). |

Sleeping Siamese in Sinkby bobdaveantComment: Yes for the cat this is serendipity! I like it, possible crop on the top right (Or remove if editing were allowed) but otherwise nice. Well done! |

Marry Me?by jimwfletcherComment: A nice idea but not terribly well exectuted, it seems a little out of focus, not particluarly sharp on the rting and some distacting reflections in the glass. |

STEEEEEEE-RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!by L1Comment: How can this be serendipity? if the aim of baseball for the pitcher is to get a strike and he does this through normal means, then how can this be an accidental discovery? |
