The Age of Innocenceby KaliComment: Wonderful color treatment. Amazing to catch the raindrops just so. Pointing out the obvious: some blur on her cost. Too much negative space for me - she's gourgeous and should be focused on, plus you're getting more bang for the buck on the raindrops around her shadow. In my top 5, easily (8) |

New Lifeby ShelleyComment: Hard to watch but a powerful image. Bravo. Could a few moments after this when the calf was just born be as powerful and more tender? Great focus on this shot. (7) |

Unexpected Invitation by ZoomdakComment: Wow, amazing, I can't wait to see where this is from. Would like to see a higher angle and get more of the sea below. (7) |

Spring (unedited)by spydrComment: Simply beautiful. Kudos for even finding our ladybug friend. My minor feedback: would like to see a bit more contrast/exposure. Zoom in slightly to focus more attention to the bug - I almost missed her the first pass! (7) |

Bad weather, mundane location, good picture :)by dimitriiComment: I bet this image will be a love/hate for most. I personally love the simplicity of it. My minor suggestions: Overexpose more, and blow out the sky slightly in B&W to knock out those clouds and accentuate the differing contrasts of the sands. Lower the angle to bring more of the fence into the sky for greater contrast of white to dark. (7) |

Yellow Swallowtails Dancingby pmichaudComment: great image! Would like the ground to either be completely in focus or out. DoF would pop these suckers off the page nicely. Saturate more to contrast the yellow wth the brown! Well done. (7) |

X-Rays (Accidentally Discovered in 1895) by labudsComment: Am of course interested to see your details of how you got this shot! Great idea too. I'm not hot on the border choice. A slight gradiant background of black/white could serve this well...(7) |

Surpriseby alexvoloComment: Good choice to go B&W with this image. Maybe add a black border? Also to solve the light reflection in the eyes problem, an fun trick I learned was if you get a bundle of standard issue christmas lights (like you put on your tree), and leave them on the "rack" they come in, you can create amazing "twinkles" in a person's eye by casting hundreds of tiny points of light. It also provides a great soft fill light if you ever need it because it falls off quickly. (7) |

Candy in the couchby postoakinversionComment: Great use of color in the candies. The out of focus seats are making me feel clastrophobic, which maybe was your intention but I feel like the "cieling and floor" are closing in on me. I would try to at least get one of them in focus. Also I'm having trouble "finding north" ....which way is up and down, also due to the DoF, that is probably another unsettling thing about this pic. I do like it thou (7) |
