Fossilizedby BibliophileComment: Yeah! I'm so excited that I got 14th place in such a large field.
The only alteration to this photo is cropping and a touch higher saturation. Other than that it's exactly as it came out of the camera. |

Not At Allby GPComment: Technically good photo, but has nothing to do with rusted. Taking a picture of the opposite of the challenge is a waste of voters time, please don't do it again.
Edit: And I'd rather people didn't private mail me during voting. Afterwards would have been fine. And just to let you know I'm not changing my vote in either direction.

Rusty Barrelby HBunchComment: Subtle. Pretty. Nice colors and lines. I like the single 'flower'. Nice shot. |

a chain is never stronger then its weakest linkby birgirComment: Beautiful picture. Even if it is a common subject for this challenge it's one of the best. I would have cropped a little off the bottom, the first (out of focus / closest) ring draws too much of my attention. |

Farms Rust to Dustby MotoCycleBoiComment: This photo is too busy. Some elements are in silhouette, others are lighted. There are a lot of individual objects which attempt to capture our attention. The lines of the objects lead the eye in many different directions. It's interesting, but too chaotic to be successful. Good luck on future challenges, you seem to have good technique, but need to work on your composition. |

Forgotten Excersiseby starlight autumnComment: Too much flash kills this shot. Use a lamp with a shade if you have no way to get natural light to your subject or your subject to natural light. Using a flash when you are this close is very hard to do successfully. Better luck next time. |

time to change the grease can under the grillby LN13Comment: This is going to sound harsh, but if you'd spent as much time on the focus as you did on the borderyou could have had and interesting subject. Use a tripod if you have trouble with focus. I would also have included the entire can, not just he greased lip. Whatever the red things are along the top are very distracting as well. Better luck next time. |

Keys to Imaginationby cynicznyComment: Great detail. I would like to see the entire ring of keys, the cropping is too tight, or the depth of field should be smaller if you want to focus only on one or two. |

I'm giving YOU the bird!by JoelHSmithComment: Cute! I like the depth of field. Too bad you couldn't get rid of the building in the background all together, nice try though. The lighting is very good, reating perfect shadows. Good timing on that. |
