pressureby arngrimurComment: Very clever how you imply the function of these isolated valves through the use of the shadows....the system seems to make sense until you look closer. This is a rare instance of a visual pun captured in an image. The only other instance that springs to mind is which uses the same trick in a way. Welcome to a new genre! |

frozenby arsenalComment: Excellent composition and lighting. The soft processing serves the subject well. |

Aoudad Lambby yankoComment: Just realised that this IS a reflected image! Amazing how attuned we are in scanning even animal faces: something seemed odd....but it took me a while for it to click. The effect works really well. |

Sherwood Meetby FalcComment: Are you any clearer from the comments whether the inclusion of the figures was a good thing? Just goes to show how tastes differ! Keep up the top-notch work. |

frozen moment by arngrimurComment: What fantastic, biting clarity you have here...emphasised by the cold blues of the shot. POV very clever but wonder if true Zen-like perfection could have been achieved by ensuring island didn't overlap with icicles on the right....true separation would highlighted the three sections of the photo better. (Genuinely a minor niggle). If you are Icelandic (which seems likely) then I should say something like 'Til hamingju'...I have no idea what it means but it seems to be a common comment on Icelandic pics! |

Sunrise, Bosque del Apacheby jemisonComment: What makes this stand out is the very rare capture of striking action stretching out from foreground to background. I wonder about a vertical crop removing the empty left and the single bird on the right...It might emphasise the layered nature of the image. But who am I to suggest improvement on this shot?!! |
