 20th November (Sunday morning) in Sherwood Forest. Mist and frost illuminated by low winter sun.

PS work:

Sharpen
Slight crop
Duplicate background layer and add gausian blur
Set transparency to blurred layer to 50%
Boost to saturation
Dodge and Burn to bring ip the mist slightly

Are you any clearer from the comments whether the inclusion of the figures was a good thing? Just goes to show how tastes differ! Keep up the top-notch work.

Great light beams shining down through the branches. Mother nature was being very nice to you! lol Has a wonderful misty morning feel to it. Great colors in the leaves. Overall a very good phot. Well done!

Wow... I didn't even notice the people at first, the light on the trees and mist totally captivated my attention. Having the people there is just a bonus, the shot is really strong on its own. 9

7 - Very nice, but, Criticism; in my opinion, whilst the people and dogs add an element here, the 'serenity' in this shot is broken by their presence, ie; I think it has more potential without them. Also, and no idea how, but some 'tweaking' with the colors or lighting, to try to enhance those rays, would have also made this even better in my opinion. Depending also what you had to work with, maybe a little more 'foreground' too, if possible. edit:typo

Light, composition, story, color, It has all the ingredients for a great image but just falls down a little. Almost great deserves a 9
