Wall eyeby RiponladyComment: Really top-notch shot, this one. You've almost created a surreal landscape. I like the mystery of the subject and almost wish you had cropped more off the top and right to accentuate this. Good work! |

The Monkby gudbjargarsonComment: It's hard to imagine going wrong when you have a model like this! Having said that, you have absolutely nailed this. The contrast between the liver-spotted skin and sleek robe is perfect and the head really projects from the image thanks to some great lighting and processing. If anyone complains about the lack of eye catchlights I shall personally readjust their karma....it nicely adds to his melancholic and grouchy air |

wintry walkby xtineComment: I've seen this in your portfolio in the last week or so and loved it then....but now I have forgotten who 'you' are! Christine? Wiel? Anyway, it's mood on a stick to use a proper photography term. |

Hotby korpenComment: Really great shot but I'd love to see this cropped really tight so that no green shows at all. I think it might add an element of surprise and mystery and push that camouflage effect. |

Bridalveil Fallsby TelehubbieComment: Well, you've set yourself a task with this shot given that it's an Ansel Adams classic! I think you've captured the textures of the water really well but the rockface looks a little dark (and flat in tone) and poorly resolved. However, it does set off the water really well, as does the portrait orientation. Good work. |

It's a switchby duffloopComment: I think you've been a little shy with this photo. What I mean by that is I think you are too far away from the subject and perhaps distracting the viewer from it (and the textures of the wall) with the rubble and the roof. Perhaps with an 'urban' subject like this you should look for interesting lighting (different time of day) or processing techniques (Draganisation is popular at DPC at the moment). Good luck with this. |

bareby messerschmittComment: This has been a very good winter for your photography, Wiel! I like the almost metallic appearance of the tree caused by the snow and the repeated motif on the horizon. |
