very interesting image. and great saturation in the eyes. however i am quite diasspointed when looking at this and the 'black' fan things have no black in them. It seems as though they are lightened or are over exposed. The eyes are great though.

yeah, cleverly done... i think the ace adds interest, and also cleverly covers up the colors on the jack. nice job.

hmm what to say. I like the image a good bit. I like the curves of the S and the straight lines of the P, I like how you have them positioned and how the image is cropped (for the most part, although perhaps it is a little tight and perhaps i would have played with the shape of the image. I wonder how a square cropping would look... but still i think your choice wasn't a bad one). It looks like you have good tones, and good color. The image looks a little hmmm.. well the color seems to be off. perhaps that was your intention, to get sort of a pinky color, but i think it bothers me a bit that the steel isn't shiny silver color and the whites aren't white.
overall good job. Obviously lots of people liked it with a 6+ final score. way to go.

This is a very smooth and calming piece. the chess pieces, i think, have quite a presence on the table. Their soft image is very strong and i think works very well. I like the colors and saturday of the image and the framing was a good choice. Good interesting background, which keeps my interesting. Good job.

interesting shot, and well exposed, for the most part, although iam looking at the top of the marshmellows and wonder if they are just a tad burnt out. I like the concept and idea very much, along with the repetition of three marshmellows and three squares. Did you try shooting at different angles? I wonder if i would like a direct above shot, or one where the squares are the largest, but i am not sure... this one just seems to have a very steep perspective that doesn't appeal to me. But interesting and well done. good work.

I really liket this shot. I forget what i gave it in the challenge but i remember it was a high mark. I really like the lines on the steal thing on the left. The ripples in the ice are very interesting and have a soothing smooth texture. Theh simplicity of the right side of the image is also pleasing, with the snow and sky, and the very sharp line betwen the two. color saturation looks really good, as does the light balance. The now on the middle right DOES look burnt out. I am not sure what you could do to fix this, as it was probably a very conrasty shot (as sunlight shots usually are)... or perhaps contrasty isn't the word, but it has MANY light levels, whereas the camera only records 5 (more or less).. but overall very nice image. Good job.

interesting shot, and nice framing. This is a good human interes shot, and is enjoyable, but perhaps doesn't fill me with a mood. Maybe i want more setting, perhaps this shot would be more intersting with a wide expanse of water, with the little hippo head sticking out. just a thought. I think perhaps right now i have a problem with the cropping. it is cropped JUST on the edge of the water large water ripple. This makes for a tense uneasy image. It is a decent image but i just can't figure out why it doesn't have impact for me. Maybe there isn't enough variety in colors.. everything is a dull green... you could try playing with saturation, but i am not sure it would help... i am not sure what more to say. Good us of rule of thirds in any case.

well this COULD have been a really good photo.. but that border.. it JUST snips the nose off the bird... i think i woul dhave liked it without the border.. or with a larger crop before the border.

I think i maybe see such corners in a different light. i see them with intrigue and wonder... what is in that box... or what does the toilet look like. what does that machine do... i can almost smell what it would be like to move that cardboard box and all the dust flies off. I wonder if there is any buttons on the machine that i can turn or play with... .. i just want to start moving things around and LOOK... i think it feels more mysterious and exciting.....

hey there.

don't let your low score get you down. it is great to see strong art pieces in here, and i can see you thought lots about this and what you wanted to portray... even though i am not done thinking about it yet, or have gone it 'figuredout' i think i like it. but beware, that unless your image is explicitly what is in the subject, don't expect too high of a mark.... but keep it up.... it is great to have artists here.
