Wow it's amazing how much expression in those beautiful eyes. Superbe shot!

The eyes are this blue. I created a new layer in PS and desaturated it to b/w. I then erased the b/w eyes to show the blue eyes below. I did a light dodge on the whites of her eyes to bring those out more, but did not touch the blue color at all.

Let me be one to say that I didn't vote on your photo because I thought you colored the eyes in PS.

I have no clue if you did or not, but I didn't vote you at 10 because I didn't know. Sorry.

I would have gave you a 10, as this is an extraordinary photo.

The fans with it's diagonal placement help to frame the face and puts focus on the eyes. The desaturated image except for the beautiful blue hue in the eyes really makes this interesting. The depth of field and focus on the eyes also helps. The only change I would make here is to use a fan without the flower pattern. it kinds of takes a little away from the eyes and a tiny bit distracting. "9"

Grabbing eyes, great photo.
Good composition, like the diagonal, makes it much more interesting. The addition of the stuff in the lower right corner is a good choice imho, when I think about the photo without it it somehow seems a lot duller.

Wonderfull! One of my very favorits! Very mystic with great clarity. The selective decoloration works like magic her. Hope you win. good luck.

Beautiful eyes, but they aren't black. It surrounded by black, but black object should be a center of composition, I would think. 7

One of the most striking entries in this challenge. Should finish very high.

Gotta love that eye color! Wish that blacks were deeper and fan edge was sharper focus, i.e., just slightly greater depth of field.

Stunning eyes. Leaving the blue give real impact to this. My favourite of the challenge so far (80% through). 10

I really like how you made the eyes stand out. Tilting the photo at an angle makes it better, less ordinary. The white in the bottom right corner is distracting.

Ok. Those eyes got me!!! Simple but very effective. Please tell me, if not contacts how you got the blue in her eyes so blue. I won't believe you if you tell me they are natural! Also, I have another question regarding technique: I realize I was drawn to the eyes. . . but was it the blue or the shallow depth of field that led me there? Why not a sharper focus (and deeper blackness) on the fans? Best of luck.

I would have marked this higher if it had been plain black and white without the blue eyes. The major interest comes from the composition and form of the fans (assuming they are fans) and the colour seems to compete with that for attention rather than enhancing it. Also it makes it less of a "black" shot.

very interesting image. and great saturation in the eyes. however i am quite diasspointed when looking at this and the 'black' fan things have no black in them. It seems as though they are lightened or are over exposed. The eyes are great though.
