Between Winter and Springby dr rickComment: INCREDIBLE!!! Where is this - please tell me. I long to backpack and photograph through mountains like this. Really nice shot and you either did a good job subtracting some of the haze, or you got lucky that it was a decent day. I typically get lots of haze in a shot like this and don't get the details on the range like I want. Good luck! 10 |

in MC Escher's world, this is not out of placeby schurgComment: i feel that a stronger comp would have this an amazing picture. i love the subject and the use of background and fill in the picture. maybe even a little tighter crop/ closer zoom on the subject to make it stand out more too. great idea though - you have my bias because i love MC Escher, one of my favorite artists!! |

The new recruitby PatrolComment: i think this is quite funny! i would recommend a shallow depth of field on the soldier to make him stand out more though. good choice (imo) with b&w tones though. i think a little different vantage point would have made the comp more interesting too. good luck! |

Hugables?by MarkComment: WAY too much flash!!!! i would like to suggest a tripod, a lower aperture (f/stop) value, maybe faster shutter speed, and light source or two. if you cannot set the aperture value or shutter speed then i would suggest a bright light source and plenty of daylight. flashes tend to produce a very harsh light - and yours has burned several spots fairly badly with blown out white. i hope this provides some useful help. not a bad idea though. good luck! |

Stairway to.........???by shardyComment: a tighter crop off the bottom, the absence of the little white car and a wider aperture/ faster shutter speed would have made this picture so much better. your subject is really awesome though and the overall composition is powerful. just typical dpc nit-picking. i would like to play around with this picture in PS to subtract the car, crop tighter at the bottom and adjust levels and shadow/highlights to give it more pizzaz. only by your permission though. good luck!!! 6 |

Breaking Eggs by terjeComment: Nice composition! I would like to know how many eggs you used! Hopefully you boiled them because that would have been quite a mess!!!! The lighting and color look strong as well. One of my favorites. 10 |

Palm Sundayby BlinksComment: This picture has far too much noise in it - set a lower ISO (film speed) |
